2026 Baseball Recap

This past baseball season was one to remember! Utah’s talent continues to improve year in and year out, 2026 was no different! We saw the Kanab Cowboys take state for the 3rd time in 4 years! The Union Cougars brought back a championship trophy to Roosevelt. Snow Canyons dynasty continues as they were one of the states best teams all year long, capping it off with another ring. The Spanish Fork Dons and American Fork Cavemen both go back to back to win the 5A and 6A championships!

We saw standout players all year long with Harmon Skeen hitting bomb after bomb and taking home the Desert News Mr. Baseball award. Kenny Johnson did it all for the Cavemen this year both on the bump and at the plate winning 6A MVP. Other big time sluggers include Trey Vaughn out of Snow Canyon, Kanon Virostko out of Kanab, Easton Hammond for the Riverhawks, Raider Blomquist for Beaver, Nixon Warren for Spanish Fork, Jeremiah Hall from Maple Mountain and Landon Fry for the Lone Peak Knights.
